Remembering Gene Hogberg
So well known as the head of the News Bureau and author of scores of articles, that it is fitting that a page be created for him. You can view it here.
Election to the Bible Sabbath Association Board
Recently I was invited to stand for election to the Board of the Bible Sabbath Association (BSA) and was elected.
The BSA has been operational since 1945. I was a Board member in the 1990s but getting up at 4.30am for meetings was not my thing so resigned for that reason only. In the early 2000s Richard Nickels re-invited me to permit myself to be elected but declined. In fact, I have been receiving the Sabbath Sentinel periodical and other literature from them since the 1970s.
In the meantime, some wonderful people in Australia assisted me and distributed BSA literature and The Sabbath Sentinel periodical until such time it all became accessible on the internet.
I look forward to serving Sabbatarians in this capacity and should you have any questions or suggestions, do not hesitate in contacting me.
Btw, Worldwide Church of God members served on the BSA board and helped in other ways in the 1970s and 1980s. It was never regarded as an issue. Some extremists think that members cannot get involved with other Sabbatarians or that their group is the only true or right Church. They have much to learn.

Craig White
Craig White began to observe the seventh-day Sabbath in 1973 and five years later baptized as a member of the Worldwide Church of God. His heart is to help other Sabbatarians work together on their common beliefs and goals. Over the years he has worked with Church of God, SDA, SDB, and Messianic groups. Craig has done extensive research into Sabbatarian history and written many articles on this subject. He has done a thorough job of helping to preserve Church of God history through the scanning of thousands of documents. Sharon Darling
Sharon Darling is the founder of Heart of a Torah Woman. She and her husband Aaron are passionate about following the Creator and have been married for 21 years. They and their two teenagers reside in the Midwest. Her ministry was birthed out of a God-given desire to help other women in their walk with God. She provides mentorship that helps women focus on how to bring glory to God in all aspects of life. She helps women adjust their thinking and approach to Biblical womanhood through an emphasis on the importance of routine prayer and Bible study, strengthening our marriages and families, and encouraging and supporting each other.
John Lemley
John Lemley grew up in a household where God's seventh-day Sabbath and dietary laws were observed. He was 18 when we found the Church of God (Seventh Day). Not long afterwards we learned about the Bible Sabbath Association and subscribed to The Sabbath Sentinel. He has been blessed to write for TSS over the years. He has pastored churches in Washington, Missouri and Alberta. He is now retired and living in Vancouver, WA with his wife, Lois Youngs Lemley, of 51 years. They have four children and eleven grandchildren. His goals for the BSA include trying to get greater involvement from the entire Sabbath-observing family. He is in contact with SDA and SDB leadership and hope to encourage those denominations to be more active in the BSA.

Besides being a wife, mom, and now a grandmother, she currently works full time as a deed clerk & researcher for a local appraisal district. Brandy also loves writing, learning new things, and serving. She constantly prays for God to guide her steps so that she can do His will and not her own. Her hope is to one day hear, “well done my good and faithful servant.”
Herman L Hoeh Sermon and Lecture Transcripts
Thanks to Vic Kubik, I now have in my possession three more Dr Hoeh messages that were typed up in the early 1980s and complements what is already on the website. I have scanned them as a single file ('Three Addresses by HL Hoeh') and then also have duplicated the address dealing with ‘Geology of the Earth Before Adam’ for the sake of the way the site is organised.
They are in the Dr Hoeh transcripts section here and the Pre-Adamic World section.
More old Ambassador College Photographs
Thanks to Susan Herrmann, daughter of Kenneth Herrmann (a senior Ambassador College lecturer and specialist on calendars, geology archaeology and much more) for these photographs from around 1950 or earlier and many more on the Friends of the Sabbath site. Plus papers and interesting letters by him and other items scattered around the site.
Stefan Kube - Seventh Day Baptist Elder
I was privileged to be given a copy of Mr Kube’s autobiography, Reaching Upwards, recently. I met Mr Kube in early 1996 when I was assisting Church of God (Seventh Day) Elder Richard Cress and his wife on their trip to Australia. I drove them to meet the Kube’s at their home in the Blue Mountains and then to Wollongong to present a sermon to the United Church of God congregation. An outline of the sermon can be found online here. In an e-mail to me dated 9 June 2003, Elder Cress recalled this time:
“During visits to Australia, Charles visited with the Kubes in the Blue Mountains (where you so graciously drove me) and a NSW congregation pastored by Gordon Gibbs. Gordon subsequently left the sabbatarian movement and did embrace the charismatic movement. I think the Kubes still had some contact with him at the time I was there. I only talked to him over the telephone. I don't even know if he is still alive.”
Mr Kube’s autobiography is so interesting and contains insights and information that is rare and inspiring. The suffering of the Polish peoples under the Nazis and Communists was terrible, but God saw the Kube’s through these terrible trials.
He and I kept in contact over the years and I received his Link newsletter until he passed away. You can find a summary sketch of Seventh Day Baptist history on their website and a lot of information and links on the Friends of the Sabbath site.
Future European Military in Planning
This 20 minute video on YouTube is well worth a watch. The complexities must be understood and grasped by any Bible prophecy student and the timeline that this has and will take. It won’t happen over night.
How to navigate the Friends of the Sabbath website
The website is vast with over 350 gigs of information, periodicals, articles, papers, photographs, audios and videos. The information has taken years to build (since the 1990s) and decades to collect the information (since the 1970s).
Due to its size, the huge number of categories and sub-categories, pages and sections it can be daunting to navigate or to find the relevant information the browser or researcher may be seeking.
So, what I recommend to everyone is to simply go to the Explore by Alphabetical Order section. In that you will find the most important areas to explore. Try it and see how you go - you never know what fascinating and helpful information you will come across!
